She was born in a working family 1969 in Slovenia. Since she remember the book was her best friend. Like the enchanted has fallen into the book world.
In the higher classes of elementary school she realized that she can also say something with her words. She started writing poems and continued in high school so far. She published in school magazines.
She issued a book of poetry in self-published (Če želiš biti ljubljen, ljubi …, 1990; in English - If you want to be Loved, love …). Later follow the next poetry collection: Ujet angel si, 1998 (in English – Trapped angel you are) and Piromanka srca, 1999 (in English – Arsonist of the heart), both at El Condor Publishing. These and newer poems are published on Radio Slovenia and in some Literary journals.
She also writes poems and fairy tales for children. Some of them are published in books. Fairy tales like Janček in njegove dogodivščine, 1998, El Condor Publishing (In English – Janček and his adventures), Jon in Mina: Božič, 2005, Modita Publishing (in English – Jon and Mina: Christmas) and Jon in Mina: Rojstni dan, 2006, Modita Publishing (in English – Jon and Mina: Birthday). These and newer fairy tales are published on Radio Slovenia and in some Literary journals.
She also writes aphorisms (that were published in daily newspapers) and short stories, which were (some of them) published on Radio Slovenia.
She was a translator from the German and Serbian language for two publishers. And she was also an editor and proofreading of Slovenian language for some publishers.
She was the owner of the El Condor Publishing too. She thus created the first literary competition for young writers and attracted authors of elementary and secondary schools to participate. It is realized a collection of award-winning fables children titled Moja prva basen, 2000 (in English - My First Fable). Response was an excellent. This has been said in the biggest papers (Delo, Dnevnik). Some schools have My First Fable realized to read for reading badge.In the National and university Library of Slovenia, she was recorded as the first publisher to come up with this competition for young writers. Of course, many have been imitat later, but in its own way.
Ingrid Peinkicher is with heart and soul embodied in creating new and new copyright works that she would someday like to share with you in English language. She lives and creates in Slovenia.
